How will your product use media language to target your
specific audience?
I will use
striking and bold colours to draw in the audience as well as using models the
same age as the target audience so the magazine appeals to them so they can
relate or aspire to be them. I will use the name ‘Tendance’ for the title name
for my magazine due to the English translation to ‘Trending’. This is relevant
as most ages 16-25 (the target audience) are the most familiar age range to
know the most popular and current trends of today. Also, the reason I made the
title French was because French is second to English being the most learnt language
in the world, especially in education therefore the target audience are more likely
to recognize the language and understand it. Finally, I will create my magazine
front cover layout to be as conventional as possible in order to appear professional
to the target audience as well as satisfying to look at. I will also use Sans Serif
font throughout the text of my magazine front covers and contents to match the modernness
of the magazine.

I chose to
aim my magazine at ages 16-25 due to this age range being the most popular for
having interests in fashion, music, celebrities and gossip. The audience’s
gender for my magazine front can attract both male and females however females
are the most likely to stereotypically take interests into magazines like mine.
I chose to aim my magazine towards any gender or race due to the magazines main
aspect being completely modern. Their interests can include the love for fashion,
social media, celebrities, Tik Tok, latest trends, beauty/makeup and
photography. The lifestyle of the audience member is likely to be a high
school/ college student who enjoys shopping, spending time with friends and
family, dancing, music and attending concerts. Products they like could be their
phone, laptop, perfume, H&M clothing, New Look clothing, Victoria secret
fashion, Fenty Beauty lip gloss and makeup from Benefit. Celebrities they like
could be: Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Brent Fayyaz, Rhianna, Justin Bieber, Ariana
Grande and Lady Gaga. My target audience tick the correct boxes for them to
enjoy my magazine (the fact that my magazine and contents will include both male
and females in the photography work supports this). The class of the target audience
for my magazine can vary due to the age ranging form 16-25 however most students
will be interested the most in my magazine therefore the most popular readers
will be middle-class. The clothes my models will wear will fit the criteria to interest
the younger generation as the clothes worn will be fashionable and appealing to
people ages 16-25. I will also make sure some models will wear bold and vibrant
makeup to attract a wider audience with different interests.
